Stromberg warrants its new carburetors, distributors and associated mechanical products to be free from defects in material and workmanship for the duration of one (1) year from the date of the original purchase. After one year, repairs are available from Stromberg at standard rates. New ignition coils are warranted to be free from defects in operation for ninety (90) days from the date of original purchase.
Stromberg does not warrant its mechanical products which are damaged as a result of improper installation or application. Improper installation and application includes, but is not limited to: (1) failing to follow or deviating from the installation instructions provided by Stromberg; (2) modifying or altering the product beyond factory specifications outside what could be considered tuning for optimum performance; (3) subjecting the product to adverse conditions, abuse, misuse, neglect, accident, collisions, dirt or other contaminants, water or corrosion, gum or varnish, use of improper or poor quality fuel or fuel additives, or faulty repair; and (4) improper adjustment, fire from a backfire, running without a quality air filter and fuel filter, or excessive fuel pressure. In the case of distributors, this will also include, but is not limited to: (1) connecting to an electrical system with the wrong polarity; (2) use with a coil of an Ohm rating not recommended by Stromberg; (3) subjecting the product to excess voltage as defined in the Owner’s Manual; (4) use with solid core (typically copper) spark plug wires. Stromberg also does not warrant, and disclaims all liability for, products used for racing, or any non-automotive, marine, or aircraft application or purpose. If you are unclear whether a modification, alteration, or particular application or use may affect your warranty, please contact Stromberg before proceeding.
Stromberg warrants clothing products to be free of defects in materials and workmanship at the time of purchase. The clothing warranty covers defect of workmanship and materials, but DOES NOT cover damage caused by accident, improper care, negligence, laundering, normal wear and tear, or the natural breakdown of colours and material through time, exposure or extensive use.
Due to technical processes used, it is imperative that each individual garment’s washing instructions are adhered to exactly as stated on the care label. We cannot accept returns that have been soiled, torn or damaged due to incorrect washing.
Most warranty issues are very simple, and in most cases, Stromberg will aim to repair the distributor, either with a replacement part or with advice on a simple owner fix. In the event that the product needs further investigation, an RGA number will be issued and the product can be sent for swift examination and repair. Warranty claims can be rejected if the date of purchase cannot be established.
To claim under this Limited Warranty, the Purchaser must:
1. CONTACT US FIRST! Return the product to the place of purchase. Or contact Stromberg directly by email at: warranty@stromberg-97.com
2. Provide the dated purchase receipt.
3. Provide a clear description of the problem.
4. Get a Return Goods Authorization (RGA) number from Stromberg. NO RETURNS WILL BE ACCEPTED WITHOUT AN RGA NUMBER.
DO NOT send products directly to Stromberg without our prior notice. Stromberg assumes no responsibility for products sent directly to Stromberg.
If a defect in workmanship or materials is suspected in a Stromberg clothing product, the Purchaser should contact Stromberg or the supplying dealer within the first 30 days of ownership. Please include as many details as possible about the fault. Stromberg or the dealer will advise on how to proceed with the return. If the garment fails due to material or manufacturer defect, within warranty coverage, Stromberg will replace or credit it at our discretion. We require that all products returned are in clean condition. Products that are dirty will be rejected and returned to sender charging freight.
Stromberg is the sole and final judge of whether a product is covered by the warranty. In the event that Stromberg determines that a defect in material or workmanship exists, Stromberg’s responsibility is strictly limited to the repair or replacement of the product or parts, at Stromberg’s choice, and the return of said part with freight prepaid. Stromberg has no other obligation, and makes no other warranties – whether express or implied.
As used herein, the term “Purchaser” shall mean the original purchaser or consumer of the Stromberg product. The Limited Warranty is restricted to the Purchaser. The warranty is not assignable or otherwise transferable.
STROMBERG PROVIDES NO WARRANTY EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED OTHER THAN THIS LIMITED WARRANTY. STROMBERG EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
IN NO EVENT SHALL STROMBERG OR ITS AGENTS, EMPLOYEES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, RELATED ENTITIES OR SUCCESSORS BE LIABLE FOR SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF, OR IN CONNECTION WITH, PRODUCTS OR SERVICES SOLD, WHETHER BASED IN WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE AND STRICT LIABILITY), OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY. STROMBERG’S MAXIMUM LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE PURCHASE PRICE OF THE PRODUCT.
Stromberg neither assumes, nor authorizes any other person to assume for us, any other liability in connection with the sale of this genuine Stromberg product. Stromberg does not warrant whatsoever any accessories or parts supplied by other manufacturers.
Any implied warranty determined to be applicable is limited in duration to the duration of this warranty.
This warranty gives you specific legal rights. However, you may also have other rights that may vary from state to state or province. This Limited Warranty constitutes the entire understanding between Stromberg and the Purchaser.
New Stromberg carburetors and distributors are legal ONLY for off-road use or for use on pre-emission controlled motor vehicles/motor vehicle engines (pre-1966 domestic vehicles certified to California standards, pre-1968 domestic vehicles certified to federal standards and all pre-1968 foreign vehicles).
